Give your hydrangea blooms a fighting chance!
In the past few years we have seen diminished or less than spectacular blooms on our hydrangeas due to late Spring cold snaps.
With the weather forecast showing wintry mixes, rain and cold temperatures we have received inquiries from folks asking what to do about their hydrangeas. Covering a prized hydrangea with a sheet or frost cloth can provide 4 to 8 degrees of protection, which could be just enough to avoid damage. Drape all the way to the ground and cover before sunset for best results. Be sure to monitor your plants and keep them protected from the elements to give the blooms a fighting chance this spring!
